Family connect & play- Family Resource Center
Come relax, connect, and let the kids play! Join other parents and caregivers for an informal time to share the ups and downs of raising children, connect over coffee, and enjoy support from fellow families. While kids enjoy supervised free play in our playroom, grown-ups can chat, share resources, and discuss what programs or support they’d like to see at the Family Resource Center. Occasionally, we’ll welcome special guest speakers on parenting, child development, and more.

Enjoy stories, songs, and activities related to food and snacks through sensory exploration and simple cooking activities. These experiences strengthen fine motor skills, enhance language development, encourage curiosity, and help build healthy eating habits.

Little Splashers Family Play Day at Anamax Splash Park- Family Resource Center
Bring your little ones for a morning of splashing, playing, and creativity at Anamax Park Splash Pad! Families with children ages 0–5 and their siblings are welcome to enjoy the splash pad, explore fun water toys, enjoy light snacks, and create a personalized sun hat to take home. Families are encouraged to bring sunscreen, water, and chairs or a blanket to relax and enjoy the morning.

Tiny Rider 101: Car Seat Safety: Family Resource Center
Join us for a hands-on workshop where parents and caregivers will learn how to safely install and use infant, rear-facing, forward-facing, and booster car seats. Participants will also learn when to transition between car seat stages based on their child’s growth and safety needs. Families will have the opportunity to schedule a personalized appointment with a certified car seat technician for additional support.

Potty Training– Family Resource Center
Come join Amanda and Parent Aid for a fun hour on Potty Training Today! This class will equip you with the best practices on your journey to the no diaper life. All participants will receive a FREE toddler potty and training pants!

Wonders of the Desert: Nature Play & Story Time
Join us for an enriching sensory adventure in Wonders of the Desert, where young children (ages 2–5) explore the natural world through play-based, developmentally appropriate outdoor activities. Guided by a trained nature-based educator, each session offers three to four fun hands-on experiences—like digging, building, crafting, and observing—designed to spark curiosity and build early learning skills. We’ll wrap up with a themed Storytime that ties everything together, helping little ones connect, imagine, and grow in nature. All participants will be given a Family Activity page in English & Spanish to extend the learning and fun at home.
This week’s class You, Me, and the Desert – Our Environment, children learn what makes the desert special, how people are part of nature, explore with their senses, practice caring for the environment, and connect with family through shared nature activities.
