About our classes

Our cooking classes are taught by trained culinary professionals who love sharing their knowledge and connecting with the community. Classes are generally $10 per class. If you would like to make a donation to sponsor a student (or students) you can do so by using the button below.

Make and Take

March 8th, 10am-12pm​

Sahuarita Food Bank

In this class we will be making Lasagna Rolls and Breadsticks for you to take home to freeze or make for dinner!

The fee for this class is $10

ServSafe Manager Certification

Feb. 5th 8am-4:30pm​Sahuarita Food Bank

The ServSafe Food Manager's Exam satisfies the Certified Food Manager requirement of Maricopa, Pima, Cochise, Coconino, Yavapai, Mohave and Yuma Health Departments. 

ServSafe Manager Certification

Feb. 26th 9am-5:30pm​Marana Food Bank

The ServSafe Food Manager's Exam satisfies the Certified Food Manager requirement of Maricopa, Pima, Cochise, Coconino, Yavapai, Mohave and Yuma Health Departments. 

Line and Prep Class

Starting February 13th

Sahuarita Food Bank

This 6 week course will start February 13th and will take place each Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7pm. 

 

This course is designed to prepare individuals to enter the workforce with an entry level kitchen job. Each student will be taught basic cooking skills, how to operate in a commercial kitchen and will be offered the opportunity to become a Certified ServSafe Manager. 

 

For individuals that would like to learn cooking basics but don't have plans to work in a restaurant, there will be another course proceeding this one called Cooking Basics for Adults.
