The Sahuarita Food Bank obtains the majority of its food donations from the Agency Market at the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona in Tucson. We are allowed 2 visits a week to shop and round up food products for our shelves and refrigerators at the Good Shepherd. The pie chart below illustrates the percentages of where our food comes from.

We also purchase food, mostly produce, at the GAP Ministries as well as milk and eggs from Walmart, when they are affordable.  Nogales-based produce distributors provide us with produce, in season.

Drivers and loaders are needed most mornings of the week for these food pick-ups. This is a vital position in helping to address hunger in our community.
